Our sessions take place amidst the beautifully kept woodland area of the Old Vicarage School every Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. The location is ideal for allowing children to explore, create and be at one with nature. We also use this delightful space for children's birthday parties during the weekends.
We believe in the importance of connecting with nature and fostering a love for the environment. Our playgroup sessions and birthday parties provide the perfect opportunity for children to do just that. Come and join us in this serene space and let your child experience the wonders of the natural world.
Puddy Muddles Babies
Join us at Old Vicarage School for an outdoor nature playgroup perfect for new-born's up to crawlers. Gentle, sensory-rich sessions where little ones can explore the sights, sounds and textures of the outdoors, all at their own pace. And Claire & Lindsay are on hand to help in anyway they can.
Our baby classes will be POP UP sessions and we aim to keep the numbers small. You can expect them to be peaceful, supportive and surrounded by nature. Fresh air, gentle movement, quiet connection - time to breathe and bond (with a hot brew, which we make for you). We want these session to be pressure free, so there's no forced circle time, we provide the space for you to explore, feed, rest or play. Your pace your way!

What to wear during sessions?
We ask that you dress yourself and your child in appropriate gear for the weather, wellies, waterproofs, sun hat, layers in the cold weather. See out What to wear section for a full list and how to layers up in the cold.
How long are sessions?
1hr 15 minutes.
Do we have to stay with our child/children?
Yes, you remain responsible for your child/children throughout the session.
Is there a toilet on site?
Yes there is 1 toilet available.
Is there hand washing facilities?
Yes there are basic hand washing facilities.
Do you continue in all weathers?
Yes we continue in all weather, cancellations happen in extreme wind, snow and weather threat to life weather warnings are in place.
Is there shelter?
There are various rustic shelters around site.
What's the cancellation policy?
You can cancel or rebook up to 24 hours before the session. If you cancel you do not receive the full amount back as a transaction fee applies to every booking.
Do you provide sunscreen or bug spray?
No this is supplied by parents and guardians.
Do you do fires every session?
No these are pop up, depending on the weather. During the colder months we will run fire sessions on a rolling 3 weeks, week 1 - Tues, week 2 - Friday and week 3 - Saturday. There is no extra charge for these sessions.
Is first aid available?
There is a first aid bag at all sessions, and Claire is renewing her outdoor first aid and paediatric first aid in November 2026
Do you provide snacks and drinks?
There are warm drinks available and we have access to water, these are free of charge we just ask that you bring your own cups.
What is the age limit on Sessions and Parties?
This is generally 7 years old but please contact us if you have older children, if we can accommodate them we will.
